Community guidelines
HelpMeToFly works because people choose to be good to strangers. These few promises keep it that way.
Draft — this page will be reviewed by a legal adviser before public launch.
- Be kind, patient and respectful. Many travellers are nervous, far from home, or flying for the very first time.
- Only offer help you can genuinely give, and keep your word once you've said yes. It's always fine to decline.
- Only ask for help for adult travellers (18+). Never use HelpMeToFly to arrange help for a child travelling alone.
- Never ask anyone to carry goods, parcels or items, and never accept them.
- Never ask for money, gifts or payment. Help on HelpMeToFly is freely given.
- Don't ask for or share sensitive information such as passport numbers or bank details.
- Use HelpMeToFly for travel help only — it is not a dating or social networking service. Keep chats about the journey; our team may review them, and off-topic or inappropriate messages can lead to removal.
- Only use someone's phone number to coordinate the journey you agreed on.
- Be honest about who you are and about your journey.
- Report behaviour that breaks these guidelines. Accounts that break them may be suspended.
