About HelpMeToFly
Many of us have waved goodbye to a parent at departures and spent the next eighteen hours refreshing a flight tracker, hoping someone would be kind to them along the way. HelpMeToFly exists so that someone will be.
Why we started
Every year, countless parents and grandparents cross oceans to see their children and grandchildren. Many have never flown before. Many don't speak the language at the airport where they change planes. And on the very same flight, there is almost always someone who knows the way and would gladly help, if only they knew.
Our mission
To make sure no one has to face a difficult journey alone, through simple acts of kindness between travellers, especially for those navigating unfamiliar airports for the first time.
What we believe
- Help is a gift. No payments, no couriers, no professional services. Just people being good to each other.
- Privacy by default. Just your name, email and phone number, and your number is shared only with the person you travel with. No ID uploads.
- Openness, both ways. Anyone can ask, and anyone can offer. You don't wait for permission to be kind.
- Safety first. Contact details stay private until both sides agree, and reporting and blocking are always one click away.
Where we are starting
We're starting small, with journeys between India and Sweden, and we'll grow carefully based on what our community tells us. If you've ever been helped by a stranger at an airport, you already understand what we're building.
